Healing Heartache in Business

Running a business isn’t easy. Running a business that’s hurting during ‘tough times’ isn’t easy and can be downright painful. I know. I’ve experienced it… a lot. I’ve wanted to quit, but there’s been something that has kept me hanging on…and my heart has held on to that certainty there was a bigger purpose here, so don’t quit.

Over the last 18 months or so, more and more things have seemingly fallen into place…or maybe I’ve gotten into alignment with what I’ve wanted. Thanks to so many people, though, I feel like I’ve come upon a major ‘something big’ that my whole being is dancing ‘yes’ to… being someone who heals the heartache of women who are meant to transform their worlds with their gifts, who are meant to shine their lights brightly, but for their heartache.

There’s a beautiful story in Love Poems from God about a Sufi saint, Rabia, who when speaking with Allah is told, “Show me where it hurts,” and she bursts into tears as every cell recognizes His love and tenderness – and healing.

I currently have 5 openings for a 5 session Healing Heartache in Business program. I’m so excited, because, of course, I’ve been working the program myself and it is beautiful! Up the stairs

Being really sick for over two weeks has actually been a blessing of sorts. Lots of down time, giving me plenty of time for reflection, prayer, writing. Being “out of it” seemed to mean being open to other than the status quo, being more open to possibility.

I’ve always been great at envisioning wonderful things, but not so hot on the follow-through. I’ve let lots of little things get in my way, but mostly I’ve let my own lack of clarity and certainty keep me weak, ineffective, doubting myself, and not taking action towards my vision.

When I last spoke with my spiritual director, I confessed to her something I wouldn’t want to share with everyone: I want it all! I want everything to change, dramatically, overnight. But, darn it! That’s not how it works! Years ago, I happened upon this quote, which I believe pretty accurately decribes what I am now getting on a much deeper level…

The vision must be followed by the venture. It is not enough to stare up the steps – we must step up the stairs. **

New perspectives (obviously) shift everything! I see this as a good omen for the new year!

New rules

They’re not following the old rules at the Tour de France…a couple of times this week riders made some maneuvers or strategies that raised eyebrows. Lance didn’t like someone not giving someone else the respect he was due.

The world is changing; the energies are shifting; there’s a sense of instability. Doesn’t it feel like we’re going to have to learn to do things differently? Learn new ways to ride the changes through, new personal “rules” to help support us.
And right now, I don’t think most of us yet know what the new rules will be. So, at tleast our own personal rules should be ones that work for us.

Watch your language:
It’s interesting to recognize that the language we can reflect our inner ties that bind…if you are using “have to,” “can’t,” or “should,” be mindful of the origin of the belief you hold about the situation. These three phrases indicate a sense of powerlessness. We can look for new, more supportive perspectives. Isn’t that great? What a great opportunity!

Sacred Circle

In meditation tonight, I realized how much I wanted to rekindle passion for Speaking Circles. Or maybe more my spin on them. I have so loved the magic of Circles and I want to be adding something more – focusing more on essence? Not sure. Maybe just wanting to create something a bit different. Or rather, having some creation move through me.

I am excited about offering this! And promoting it…with a bit of time to do that. YAY!
