Had a late lunch the other day with my dear friend, Jennifer Grainger of Spiritual Growth Community. Although we laughed a lot, one of our more serious topics was about some of the changes taking place in the world. Woe to those who think that economic recovery means that things will go back to the way they were! It just isn’t going to happen and we may as well recognize that fact and start moving on. (Remember Who Moved My Cheese?) This is an evolutionary time and those who are evolving, changing, growing will be the ones who survive and can thrive.

In Friday’s paper, there was a touching photo of a man, an oil rig workman from one of the gulf states, with a sign reading, ‘Save American Jobs.’ Wouldn’t it be great to save the jobs, the livelihoods of people who are deeply affected by this horrible oil ‘spill.’ But, like it or not, life will not be the same for the people in the gulf area…it’s the end of the world as they know it. It’s coming to be the end of the world as most of us know it. Big changes are in store – for all of us. How can we prepare for them? How can we maintain some semblance of balance?

We’ll fall on our faces a lot as we navigate new ways of doing things, but so will everyone else! This will all be new territory.

Love your life.
Believe in your own power, your potential, and your innate goodness.
Every morning, wake with the awe of just being alive.
Each day, discover the magnificent, awesome beauty in the world.
Explore and embrace life in yourself and in everyone you see each day.
Reach within to find your own specialness.
Amaze yourself, and rouse those around you to the potential of each new day
Don’t be afraid to admit that you are less than perfect; this is the essence of your humanity.
Let those who love you help you.
Trust enough to be able to take.
Look with hope to the horizon of today, for today is all we truly have.
Live this day well.
Let a little sunshine out as well as in.
Create your own rainbows.
Be open to all your possibilities;
possibilities can be miracles.
Always believe in miracles!
