Healing Heartache in Business

Running a business isn’t easy. Running a business that’s hurting during ‘tough times’ isn’t easy and can be downright painful. I know. I’ve experienced it… a lot. I’ve wanted to quit, but there’s been something that has kept me hanging on…and my heart has held on to that certainty there was a bigger purpose here, so don’t quit.

Over the last 18 months or so, more and more things have seemingly fallen into place…or maybe I’ve gotten into alignment with what I’ve wanted. Thanks to so many people, though, I feel like I’ve come upon a major ’something big’ that my whole being is dancing ‘yes’ to… being someone who heals the heartache of women who are meant to transform their worlds with their gifts, who are meant to shine their lights brightly, but for their heartache.

There’s a beautiful story in Love Poems from God about a Sufi saint, Rabia, who when speaking with Allah is told, “Show me where it hurts,” and she bursts into tears as every cell recognizes His love and tenderness – and healing.

I currently have 5 openings for a 5 session Healing Heartache in Business program. I’m so excited, because, of course, I’ve been working the program myself and it is beautiful! On Twitter this morning, @davecarpenter was talking about not letting anyone rain on his parade. As I read his tweets, I thought to myself that’s true for me, too! I don’t have to let anyone else rain on my parade! For better or worse, then, I started singing “Don’t Rain on my Parade,” fancying myself to be singing like Barbra Streisand…I’m gonna live and live NOW!…If someone takes a spill it’s me and NOT YOU! Needless to say, I’m not feeling like messing around today! I want to live and live NOW! How do YOU want to live today?

Oh, you bright lights

Oh, you bright lights of my heart!

The time is drawing near and you need to rise, to shake off the “bonds” of sleep and prepare for your new work. Wipe the sleep from your eyes. Stand and be filled with the Light that you are meant to carry and hold for others.

Wake from your slumber, let yourself feel the excitement of your new undertakings! Remember who you are! Remember your gifts and your purpose here! Find the other ones who will help to remind you of how to nourish your Light and keep it glowing, that you may light the way for those who come next.

Let my call to you stir that still, small voice in your soul. Let the voice waken and move you to say ‘yes!’ to your deepest calling. You are not tiny stars, you are beacons of light meant to show so many the way. My beloveds, let the voice of your heart be lifted in a resounding “YES!” to your own true calling.
